What does home mean in the modern world?
KC VITAs and composer Julia Barry have joined together to bring Julia’s nation-wide Habitat: Home series to Kansas City. The Habitat: Home concert series seeks to explore the meaning of home and reinvigorate our communities with dialogue, empathy, and vibrant and diverse events.
Held at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, this multi-disciplinary concert will feature KC VITAs Chamber Choir, Ignea Strata, and other artists in our community. The concert will feature four world choral premieres by Julia Barry, David von Kampen, Rachel Lanik Whelan, and KC VITAs’ Composer-In-Residence, Leslee Wood.
