The death of George Floyd has spurred protests, both violent and non-violent, in Minneapolis and across the country. Over the past few days, there’s a lot of information circulating social media about how to help the protesters across the United States. — where to donate, who to call, what to do. Local has compiled a list of places where you can donate your money, if you can afford to, organized by state.

Note: Although they are included in our list, the following organizations have asked that all donations be directed elsewhere, due to the surge of support they have received over the past week:

National Bail Out — “a Black-led and Black-centered collective of abolitionist organizers, lawyers and activists building a community-based movement to support our folks and end systems of pretrial detention and ultimately mass incarceration.” Donate Here

Unicorn Riot — “ a decentralized, educational 501(c)(3) non-profit media organization of artists and journalists” that has been live-streaming protests and holding police accountable for their actions. Donate Here
